Comprehensive Food Security Plan
Community Food Lab partnered with Capital Area Food Network to create a plan for a hunger-free, food secure Wake County. The project was supported by the Wake County Food Security Working Group, and the plan includes recommendations on policy, partnerships, and activities that reflect the many communities and resources of Wake County.
Our process involved broad research and lots of community engagement. We know that a successful plan will only happen if we connect with people and organizations that know the problems best, and can speak for all of Wake County.
The final plan is being reviewed by Wake County leaders, and we expect final endorsement of the plan in August or September of 2017.
